What’s New in Veeva Vault 26R2?
Veeva Vault 26R2 is scheduled for general release on 7th August, bringing a broad range of updates across the full range of Vault applications. Based on our assessment of the release information, this release appears to focus on three key themes:
- Improving user experience
- Expanding AI-assisted capabilities
- Streamlining business processes within the Vault ecosystem.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll publish a series of deep-dive articles exploring specific areas of the release in more detail, but for now, here’s our take on some of the key enhancements.
Platform: User Experience Enhancements
One of the most noticeable themes in 26R2 is the continued investment in the core Vault user experience. Updates include:
- Improvements to Fast Search
- An enhanced Document Viewer
- A more responsive UI
- New Process Monitor capabilities
- Additional Vault AI functionality.
We think these enhancements will help users navigate content more efficiently and gain greater visibility in business processes.
Commercial: Smarter Content Review & Claims Management
For Commercial teams, several updates standout, particularly in PromoMats. This includes enhancements to CLM publishing and slide comparison, improvements to the MLR Reviewer Queue, and new capabilities supporting Claims, alongside more Vault AI innovation.
In our view, these updates improve reviewer productivity and offer opportunities to reduce manual effort, while maintaining compliance-based oversight.
Quality: Enhancing Collaboration & Inspection Readiness
Quality remains a significant area of investment within 26R2. In QMS, there are notable enhancements to the Audit Room functionality, and improvements supporting external collaboration. For QualityDocs, Veeva is introducing enhancements to Periodic Review processes, as well as updates to Document Change Control (DCC) and Document Change Requests (DCR).
In our opinion, these updates provide value to those preparing for audits or managing complex document lifecycles, through improved visibility and control across processes.
Medical: Expanding Scientific Content Capabilities
Medical customers will see investment in scientific content through the introduction of the new Publications application, and enhancements to the Scientific Communications experience, including an updated platform and user interface.
We think these developments may help Medical teams manage scientific information more effectively and support greater consistency across the platform.
