At Bright Affect, we’re focused on what every Veeva release means for your team. Looking through the 26R2 updates in the Commercial cloud, a few stand out as having the potential to improve efficiency across content creation, MLR review and claims management. Here’s a deep dive into what we think will have the greatest impact for teams using PromoMats today.

CLM Publishing

The new CLM Publishing experience means that, instead of relying on multiple publishing processes, Vault can now automatically generate both complete CLM presentations and individual slides directly from PowerPoint, PDF and Word source files.

When a new version of a presentation is uploaded, Vault will automatically identify which slides are new, modified or removed before publishing content through the standard Vault CRM connection. This creates a much more streamlined publishing process while maintaining the flexibility to edit individual slides where required.

This is a significant step towards reducing one of the more manual parts of commercial content management. By automating much of that process, content owners can spend less time on administration and more time ensuring content is accurate and ready for the field.

Slide Comparison

Alongside the new CLM Publishing process comes the new Slide Comparison interface. Whenever a presentation is updated, Vault will automatically compare the new version against the existing one, highlighting slides that have been added, changed or removed. Reviewers will be able to compare presentations side-by-side before approving the latest version for synchronisation with Vault CRM.

Reviewers will immediately see the difference after this update takes effect.

It means faster review activity, greater confidence that only intended changes have been introduced, less time spent validating version updates and fewer delays getting approved content into the hands of sales teams.

MLR Reviewer Queue and Claims Management

26R2 will also introduce improvements to the MLR Reviewer Queue, making it easier for reviewers to organise and prioritise the work assigned to them. We’re sure that anything that improves visibility into pending work helps reviewers focus on what matters most first.

Claims Management will continue to evolve in 26R2, with one of the most useful additions being the new References section. This will result in a clearer way to organise and manage the scientific evidence supporting approved claims, making supporting references easier to locate and maintain as part of the overall claims lifecycle. This feature will be important to organisations investing in reusable claims libraries, as this it is another step towards more scalable content reuse.

Also applicable to Claims Management, this release updates the document viewer with the Improved Document Viewer Platform feature. The Auto-Linking icon is moving from the toolbar to the Suggest Links action in the Annotate section of the Actions menu. Use the Text Asset Auto-Linking Settings page to configure Auto-Linking to run automatically when documents are uploaded or moved to selected lifecycle states.

There are a number of enhancements to the AI capability in PromoMats, which will be covered in a future update.
