Platform Updates

The next Veeva Vault Release will land by April 19th. We’ve been looking at some of the coming updates which could affect your end user experience.

There are a range of Platform updates which will streamline working with documents including enhanced cross-link functionality and document upload capabilities, as well as some enhancements to Filtering capabilities.

Rendition Profiles

Admins will now be able to manage all rendition settings via the Rendition Profiles page, replacing the Vault-wide rendition settings and ensuring all settings are managed in one location. End users will no longer be able to individually adjust the appearance of markup in Word, layouts in PowerPoint and watermarks in PDFs. The rendition Profile will determine how Vault handles displaying these elements.

Admins can now perform bulk re-rendering of documents using Vault Loader or via the API, replacing the need to contact Product Support for this function.

QMS Enhancements

Enhancements to QMS include several updates to the Risk Builder functionality, based on customer feedback, as well as additions to the 5 Why’s Analysis tool.

Regulatory Information Management (RIM)

For Regulatory Vault users, there are a series of updates to Suggested Matching features as well as enhancements to Product Based Activity Scope levels and the ability to dispatch Global Content Plans by Country.

The Submission Archive Viewer updates aim to extend or replace the embedded viewer to support common actions.

Clinical Operations

Clinical Operations enhancements include the new ability to track Licenses by Application, introducing a new object (Study Site License) as well as the introduction of the Enable Japanese CTN Feature for CTMS users.

Commercial Vault

There have been some enhancements to the Commercial Vault relating to Claims Linking as well as Modular Content Combinations which streamline these functions for end users as well as adding Vault Layouts to the Portal Library, enabling users to customise how they see the content.
