As experts in training, adoption, and enablement for Veeva applications, we continuously stay up to date with Veeva’s latest releases and innovations. The upcoming Veeva 25R3 release introduces several platform and user experience enhancements that we believe will be particularly valuable for Veeva users.
Let’s take a closer look at what this release has to offer.
Improved Multi-Vault User Experience
The Improved Multi-Vault User Experience means users can remain logged into multiple Vault sessions in different browser tabs. This small but significant enhancement create a smoother experience by introducing the ability to work simultaneously across each tab. We understand the frustration of being logged out of one Vault when you switch to another in a new tab and this auto-on feature overcomes this, benefitting all users.
Log In As for Administrators
Administrators can now easily access another user’s account using the new “Log In As” option available from the Actions menu on a user record. This enhancement removes the need for previous workarounds, such as enabling delegate access, making the process faster and more secure. Currently this can feel inefficient, adding unnecessary steps and increasing wait times for issue resolution. As a result of the enhancement, end users can expect quicker, more effective support when issues arise, reducing downtime and ultimately improving overall engagement.
Email Available Task Owners in Automated Participant Groups
A new “Available Task Owners” option has been added in the Email Participants action. This will make workflow communications more targeted and efficient by enabling end users to email only those participants who currently have a task available to accept, rather than the entire role- or group-based participant pool. This should reduce unnecessary notifications while ensuring messages reach the right people.
25R3 sees a number of enhancements to reporting and dashboards, aimed at increasing accuracy and efficiency. We’ve explored some of these below:
Additional Relative Filters for Dates
Filters are always helpful for narrowing down data and the new Relative Date Filter options in Veeva Vault reports make it easier to create dynamic and time-based views of data. Instead of manually updating Date Filters, end users can now apply flexible options like “last 30 days” or “next quarter,” ensuring reports always reflect the most current information. We think this enhancement will save time, reduce maintenance, and help users focus on insights rather than filter management.
Descriptions & Footers on Dashboard Charts
Sometimes a little bit of context is all you need and the ability to add Descriptions & Footers on Dashboard Charts provides exactly that. These options, available in the chart formatting section, help clarify the content of each chart. This will make Dashboards easier to understand, as well as improve communication of key insights.
Dashboard Charts Drill Down Enhancement
It can be frustrating to sift through an entire report just to find the information you need. This new feature ensures that when users click into data from a Dashboard Chart, they are taken directly to the relevant grouped data instead of the full report. This will ensure easier access to the details that matter and will improve end user experience by helping you work more.
In Summary
Now that we’ve explored the details, here’s our overall take. Veeva Vault’s latest Platform and User Experience updates, though modest in scope, deliver meaningful enhancements that elevate the user journey. The improvements streamline processes for greater speed and security, reduce downtime, and strengthen engagement. Workflow communications are more focused, and upgraded reporting and dashboards save time, cut maintenance, and sharpen attention on actionable insights. The redesigned dashboards simplify how key information is presented, making it easier for users to access what matters most. Altogether, these refinements create a smoother, more efficient experience that empowers users to work with clarity and confidence.
