Veeva AI for PromoMats – Agentic AI is here!

In a highly regulated industry like life sciences, minimising errors and speeding up workflows is critical. We think the Veeva AI Quick Check Agent will help end users do exactly that by catching potential issues early, reducing the need for multiple reviews. By providing rapid content insights, consistency checks, and contextual suggestions, end users can make informed decisions quickly, trimming down repetitive manual reviews and reducing compliance risks.

The addition of Veeva AI Chat with the PromoMats Assistant should further support users by providing intelligent, on-demand guidance about a Document’s content, helping them resolve questions instantly without waiting for approvals or clarification.

Accessibility is vital in today’s market and the Quick Check Agent’s ability to respond in each user’s preferred language removes barriers, making it easier for users across regions to act on insights accurately and efficiently.

At the Commercial summit in Madrid this month we saw some great demonstrations of Veeva’s push to deeply embed AI into the applications in the Commercial Cloud and these first steps in 25R3 represent the start of an exciting journey. Together, these improvements will aid end users by tackling common pain points such as slow review cycles, unclear feedback, and compliance risks and ultimately streamlining the PromoMats experience.

Claims – Commenting for Review & Approval and Auto-Link PreLaunch Claims

25R3 sees a number of enhancements to the Claims functionality in PromoMats. We’ve explored a couple of them below.

Commenting for Review & Approval

When working with Claims users may face issues such as disjointed feedback and Approval delays which can be frustrating. The enhancements to Claims management are designed to make Review and Approval faster, and less prone to error. The new commenting functionality on Text Asset records enables users to provide feedback directly on specific fields or sections from the Claims detail page. We think this will clarify intent and eliminate the need for separate emails or offline notes.

Auto-Link PreLaunch Claims

The Auto-Link PreLaunch Claims feature further streamlines workflows by allowing new, unapproved Claims to be linked to document content through Auto-Linking. This means reviewers can assess draft Claims alongside the Documents they support, ensuring messaging is accurate and substantiated from the start. When the document is approved, the linked Claims are automatically approved as well, removing redundant steps and helping users move content from draft to final faster.

Enable Move on Brought Forward Auto Links

Having more control and flexibility is always helpful. The latest enhancement to Auto Links gives end users with Annotate permissions more control over brought-forward Auto Links. This means they can adjust or restore their placement as needed more easily. By using the Move option in the Auto Link Annotation’s Info Card action menu, end users can reposition links, which automatically converts them into manual Claim Links. This added flexibility will reduce the need for workarounds and ensure links remain accurate and relevant, in turn helping users maintain alignment between Claims and content more efficiently.
