The latest Veeva release brings new features and enhancements designed to streamline workflows and improve user experience. Here’s a quick overview of what’s new and how it benefits your end users.

Action Triggers

What’s New?

Admins can use Action Triggers that run automatically when a record is Created, Updated, or Deleted.

Notifications can be sent to users when a field changes, related records can be updated when fields are modified, and workflows can now be launched when a new record is created.

For example, in PromoMats, an Action Trigger could be enabled whereby any changes to the Expiration Date of an Approved PS&MM Document could be automatically reflected on related records, such as Email Templates or Multichannel Content.

What does this mean for end users?

The introduction of Action Triggers saves end users time and helps ensure documentation is always up-to-date.

Document Readiness Panel

What’s New?

The Document Readiness panel is a major addition to the system in this release. This panel displays the status of key processes like Rendition Generation, Searchability, and Annotation readiness, along with any related warnings and guidance on how to resolve them. The panel can be accessed via a new icon in the Doc Info pane.

What does this mean for end users?

The Document Readiness Panel makes it easy to see if the Document is ready to move forward. It highlights any issues and gives clear guidance on solutions. If warnings are present, the user is prompted to review them. A checklist will also be available based on the type of Document, which helps ensure completeness. In some cases, all checklist items must be done before the Document can move to the next stage.

Bring Forward Annotations: Coordinates

What’s New?

When bringing forward Annotations including Notes, Links and Anchors, Vault uses the source Annotation’s coordinates to accurately place them in the new Version.

What does this mean for end users?

This update improves the placement accuracy of Annotations carried over to a new Document version, especially when identical text appears multiple times.

Vault Emails Subject Lines

What’s New?

The subject lines of Vault summary emails now display the name of the Vault they

were generated from.

What does this mean for end users?

This change allows users with access to multiple Vaults to easily identify which Vault each email is associated with.

Delegate Access

What’s New?

For users with access to multiple Veeva Vaults, when selecting a Delegate from the Home tab, only accounts associated with the Vault currently in use will be displayed. This change improves clarity compared to the previous setup, where accounts from all Vaults were shown, making it difficult to determine which account belonged to which Vault. Additionally, when users return to their main account, they will remain in the Vault they were accessing as a delegate.

What does this mean for end users?

Users will now benefit from a more streamlined experience when using Delegate Access. Returning to the same Vault improves the experience compared to the previous behaviour, where users were redirected to the My Vaults page (if enabled), requiring extra steps to navigate back to their working Vault.
